What is AfroVoyage

AfroVoyage is an annual travel experience created to connect Black professionals with the African continent. From the vibrant streets of Johannesburg to the historic coast of Ghana, our journeys are rich with culture, connections, and celebration. Whether you’re coming solo or with friends, you’ll leave with family.

We visit a different African nation every year. Our trip to South Africa was in 2024. The year 2025 is Ghana. Nigeria is where we’re going in 2026.

                  Each year, we explore a different African country. In 2024, we visited South Africa. In 2025, it’s Ghana. And in 2026, we’re heading to Nigeria.

                  2. Who is AfroVoyage for?

                  AfroVoyage is curated for Black professionals, creatives, and entrepreneurs who want to explore Africa, connect with culture, and build community while traveling.

                  3. Do I need to have a travel group to join?

                  No, many people join solo and leave with a whole new crew. You’re welcome to come alone, with friends, or with a partner.

                  4. How do I sign up for the trip?

                  Start by filling out the interest form. You’ll be added to our mailing list and notified about info sessions and registration details.

                  5. Is there a payment plan?

                  Yes. Once registration opens, we offer a flexible payment plan option to help make the trip more accessible.

                  6. Can I come if I’m not based in the U.S. or Indianapolis?

                  Yes. While many of our travelers are based in Indianapolis and other U.S. cities, AfroVoyage is open to anyone who shares our mission and wants to experience Africa with us. You’re welcome no matter where you’re coming from.
